MATHEMATICS AND PHILOSOPHY


While math concepts had been developed prior to the pre-Socratic and Socratic times, the Greeks made the connection between philosophy and math that other groups hadn't.  The notion of certainty represented by Greek philosophy, Greeks like Eucludes and Pythagoras are iconic in the relationship between philosophy and math.


April is "Mathematics Month", so this page is focused on exploring a little the relationship between philosophy and math, through the lens of the Philosophy of Mathematics (or a sub-field within the Philosophy of Science).
